Searching for a cure to Alzheimer's disease a group of scientists on an isolated research facility are using gene therapy to enlarge shark brains and harvest their cells, but the result is a breed of shark that is bigger, stronger, smarter, faster and more fierce then anything man has seen before. The sharks gain the ability to reason and turn on the scientists, tactfully destroying and flooding the underwater lab in a bid to escape, while the researchers are caught up in the midst of a violent storm and now a deadly race against time to reach the surface before the sharks can get them from the rising waters. Deep Blue Sea is a thoroughly enjoyable shark movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
